I like living at Legacy at Linden Park! I have a nice sized apartment, like using the gym and pool, and having the movie room is a nice perk as well. Love my Xfinity internet service too, lots of packages to choose from. Management and maintenance are friendly and quick to help. I also have nice neighbors and there's a lot of good places to eat nearby. This has been one of the best places I've lived in Lynchburg so far. Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely ridiculous. The apartment itself isn’t that bad. The people in the office are absolutely terrible to deal with. Don’t get me wrong they all seem like nice enough people. The problem is I don’t think they could figure out how to make a sandwich if they put their heads together. We took over a sublet apartment before we closed on a house. It is dog “friendly” which is why we chose the unit. Took over a sublet for 3 1/2 months for an apartment we needed for 25 days. ... You do that kind of thing when you have a pet you love. It took way too many calls and emails because apparently no one on their office team was at all on the same page. First day we were supposed to move in we had to stay at an air BNB on the other side of the state because they didn’t put our dog on the lease in the first place even though everyone of the multiple people I talked to was told we had a dog. So we signed all of the paperwork paid all our fees but then had to wait several more days for pet approval that apparently couldn’t even be found by the people at the office.

Upon checkout I sent the keys and fobs into the office but they claim they only received the keys. Honestly there are so many things wrong with what they have done I just don’t have the time to write them all down. If you want to live in a place that doesn’t respect your time, money, or family. My two roommates and I lived here for a year and I will never rent here or anywhere associated with Legacy again. I do not recommend this apartment complex.

After completing check out well before our lease ended, we were told everything was done and there were no issues. My roommates and I suddenly received a call from DEBT COLLECTION months later because of water charges, which were 3-4 months back-billed. We were never, ever notified of any outstanding debts-- there were no phone calls, no... emails, no letters in the mail for ANY of us.

Not only was there no protocol for this issue, Legacy at Linden Park staff was also not helpful in rectifying the situation. Even if you have a forwarding address on your account or continue to live at Legacy, they will not attempt to contact you before sending you, wrongfully, to debt collection. They had nothing to say when we went to ask them what happened. Legacy also admitted it was strange our water bill was so high the last few months we lived here, but also failed to address the issue or refund us for the wrongful charges. We visited Linden on a warm day - so we naturally didn't turn on the heat. When we moved in it was cold. We turned on the heat and a foul odor filled the apartment. The previous tenant was a heavy smoker - the apartment smelt like cigarette smoke and moldy cornbread. In addition the "odor neutralizer" they put in the ventilation system caused a horrible chemical smell to spill through the vents. Multiple witnesses can attest to how horrible the smell is. I stopped breathing and I had to be... resuscitated. If a young child were in there, they probably would've had SERIOUS health problems - possibly death. My right arm and left hand were numb and my speech was slurred. Our belongings, including my wedding dress and furniture are ruined. My heart stopped while in their property due to their poor management, yet they did nothing to help. The property manager was not empathetic, dismissive, and would not accept a doctor's note. I don't understand why they treat human beings this way or rely on horrible business practices. We've lived at 3 other rentals properties (one of which allowed smoking and all while my health condition was the same), we always paid on time, and have been good tenants. We just want to move on with life but are still paying money to replace and clean items. I hope you'll make it right. And words are not good enough. We've lost so much money because of you. Take my advice and keep looking a little longer. There are several better apartment complexes in Lynchburg that are a better value. You will get more for your buck somewhere else. I rented here as I had to move quickly and once I seen the other options I was disappointed with what I was receiving. If you hope to use any of the amenities be prepared to pay a fee of $300, a fee which some other complexes in the area don't charge. They also charged me for damages that were done to the apartment by... the previous owner just so they could keep my security deposit. The place was loud with college students especially on the weeks so if you like getting no sleep, being over priced and charged, this is the place for you.
